Pondick’s work seems to take the human body and represent in either a surrealist or a tacit manner. She plays with the tactile qualities of her materials, such as the shiny, metallic human form is both recognisable and also uncanny. The body appears almost in fragments, and the torso contorted into an uncomfortable position. It is also an interesting choice that the head is featureless and hair less, especially when compared with the high detail on the foot.
